WAVERLY, Iowa– The No. 2/6 Wartburg women’s basketball team tied the program record for best start with its 85-65 win over Luther Wednesday. The Knights are now 14-0 overall which ties the school record previously set by the 2010-11 squad.
Five players finished in double digits. Senior Kristie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) had a team-high 17. Twin sister Katie had 15 points and classmate Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) matched that total.
